    Marcus, I would argue that there is more power in PowerShell (excuse the pun). The logic is actually to be able to give more to the admin, not make it harder. Researching for 20 minutes will not give you the knowledge to do your job as an admin. If you want to unleash Exchange, AD, Lync etc to their fullest then PowerShell is the game. It will take time, however what I can quickly do with 1000 users within minutes in Exchange 2010/2013 I could never do in Exchange 2003.
