Wait, so you're telling me I gotta work with this guy?!?

Well, after 'unofficially' working with David for the last few years, we'll now be able to work together 'officially' for a while.  I look forward to the community he'll help foster for the group.

You can read his 'sensationalist' piece about his departure from his old group here.

I'm sorry for posting this here but I don't know what else to do. I looked for errata on SAMS Publishing's site and tried to search the web for a solution with no luck. You have an earlier blog entry about code in your Managed DriectX 9 Kick Start that would be more appropriate to post this in but comments seem to be disabled there. Anyway I just got the book and there are lots of "issues" with it. The first few were pretty easy to fix (SetPosition method replaced by Position property, you apparently don't have to call Commit for lights anymore, etc.) however now I get a runtime error that I have no idea how to debug. I'm only on page 39 but calling DrawPrimitives throws an InvalidCallException error and I can't figure out why. I've checked and double checked the code and it's what you have in the book, the previous DrawUserPrimitives examples work fine and it even compiles without error or even warnings, it just doesn't run. Again I'm sorry to bother you with this but I really have no idea where else to look.
