Tip of the Day: Manually control what gets installed with Office 365
Today’s (Cloud) Tip…Manually control what gets installed with Office 365
The typical way for individual users who have an Office 365 subscription to install Office 2013 is via the link in the Microsoft Online portal.
However, not every end user has the right to install software on their machine. For users without these rights, you can install Office 2013 using the Office Deployment Tool and then customizing the installation using a configuration file. You can download the Office Deployment Tool here.
You can specify the language, Office SKU, and other options in the configuration file. Complete documentation on the format of the configuration file can be found here.
