Tip of the Day: IE 10 End of Support & Availability of IE 11 for Windows Embedded 8 Standard and Windows Server 2012
Today's tip...
On January 28, 2019, we announced via an IT Pro blog that customers running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Embedded 8 Standard will be able to pilot IE11 in their environments starting spring of 2019.
Windows Server 2012 and Windows Embedded 8 Standard (both of which are on the Windows 8 platform) are the last two remaining platforms which still run IE10. As you may recall, in 2016, Microsoft consolidated its browser strategy around the current version of Internet Explorer 11 (IE11), the latest supported version of Internet Explorer. As a result, a large majority of the Windows ecosystem now runs IE11.
Please read through the blog as it outlines the overall plan and release timeline.
