Tip of the Day: Files used Configuration Version 6.2

Today’s Tip…

In Windows 10, Hyper-V has been changed in how it stores virtual machine information.  This is part of the new configuration version 6.2.  Windows 8.1 used configuration version 5.0.

Here is a breakdown of the files used for both versions.

NOTE:  Windows 10 does not automatically upgrade virtual machines to 6.2.  This must be done manually, allowing users more control.
