In-Memory OLTP with extended T-SQL surface area is now in public preview in Azure SQL Database. With In-Memory OLTP, a significantly larger number of applications are able to improve transaction performance and go up to 30 times faster, plus benefit from increased concurrency. To complement these enhancements, we’ve also introduced our in-memory columnstore that delivers queries up to 100 times faster, for real-time operational analytics on top of the accelerated transaction performance provided by In-Memory OLTP.
