  It says the registration window closed on August 7th. Has that changed?

    Engineering closed the private preview due to receiving many interested parties. Please continue to follow the Remote Desktop Services team blog for upcoming opportunities soon!

  so 5 Months later has this been released to public?

    WVD is not yet considered in Public Preview, but it will be officially announced as soon as it is. Being in Public Preview is not the same as considering WVD generally available. Details for how WVD will be used and supported while in Public Preview will be documented publicly (and I believe is documented in the Azure Marketplace now).
