Access 12 session at PDC
In case you are wondering what kind of content there is at the PDC regarding Access 12, this was the main session (below). In case you did attend, I'd love to hear what you thought about what you saw...
"Access 12": Developing Collaboration Solutions with "Access 12" and Windows SharePoint Services "v3"
Learn how to combine the new "Access 12" capabilities with the collaboration environment provided by SharePoint sites to build smart client solutions for SharePoint list and library data. "Access 12" has significantly enhanced design tools, full schema interoperability with Windows SharePoint Services, and a new sandboxed development model. We show how to put these tools to work building rich applications in Access that store their data in SharePoint sites, collect data through InfoPath and Outlook, and take advantage of new services from "Office 12" SharePoint Servers. Best practices are discussed around taking SharePoint list data offline, implementing workflow capabilities, and creating reusable template applications, tables and fields for end users.
(Update 9/14/05 5:45pm: Found this interesting report of how the session went. It's worth reading: https://spaces.msn.com/members/cjparkes/Blog/cns!1pi63Txk4v5-qLLL2e5WoY8A!114.entry)

Hi, thanks for the infos, but in general it seems to me that there is not so much information about Access 12 than there is about the other apps. Especially for those of us that could not be at the PDC. Could you give us some more insights about what to expect as an Access Developer?
Thanks!

Thomas - we can't talk yet in specifics about features... for now. However, I heard that the session was recorded and was going to be made public (I can't vouch for it, I didn't hear anything official). The session should have some of the information you're looking for.
Sorry I can't be more specific :( - Anonymous

Okay, I understand that. Thanks for the info. I will check Channel 9 for the video. Meanwhile I found the slides of your presentation for download:

They are giving a good first impression about what to expect from Access 12 and I really can't wait to learn more about the templates, the WSS integration, the new database engine and more... - Anonymous

Thanks for the heads up, Thomas. I heard it was going to take a while, but it looks like people were simply very efficient :)
btw - It was not my presentation. Clint, one of our Program Managers presented it. - Anonymous
