There is Always Time...

A warning: This is a post about my son! I will praise him and praise those abilities that he has not demonstrated he has (yet - though I am fully confident that he has them).

So, the setting was this: I am currently working on some functionality that I need to get to a certain level, let's just cut a long story short and call it a prototype. I have been rather busy the last period of time doing this. My wife had an appointment and she could not bring Daniel with her, so Daniel ended up with me in my office. This I always enjoy. I may not get as much done, but it sure is entertaining to walk around the halls with a 3 month old baby. I don't think he minds - most of the time he is happily asleep.

This day, Daniel had been sleeping for a while, but I got too eager and the result was that he woke up. After explaining to him what I was working on at the moment (which I guess is irrelevant, but it enables him to hear my voice), I decided that we should have a business lunch over which I would explain the architecture of the functionality I am working on. Daniel is a good listener, and he seems to grasp very abstract concepts immediately. I think he also has shown his ability to think outside the box.

There is always time for a good business lunch...
