En Route to MDC
I'm sitting in the departure lounge at London Heathrow's Terminal 4, waiting for my connecting flight to Cairo. The Superbowl was in the fourth quarter as we departed from SeaTac, and the mood was pretty somber. I'm not a Seahawks fan (being from the Bay Area that's, like, illegal or something), but I was hoping they'd pull it out. Anyhoo... the VC++ team has a number of good sessions planned for MDC. Ayman Shoukry is presenting on optimizations, Mohamed Shabar will be presenting on C++/CLI, and I'll be talking about extending native apps with managed code. Please do drop by and say "hi" if you're in the neighborhood. :)

Thanks for the photos, Mohamed! The mystery people in your photo are Damien Watkins (on the left), currently with Microsoft Research and soon to be the Academic PM for VC++, and Terry Leeper (on the right), DPE Manager for EMEA and former VC++ Lead PM. - Anonymous
