Tell us what you think about Project Management and Eventing

I'm Dan Kershaw, the other Program Manager on the Work Item Tracking team (Gregg's counter-part).  I joined the Team Foundation Server team almost 2 years ago (initially working on admin and operations) mainly because this product looked ground-breaking, and had the capability to change the way companies do appliction lifecyle managment.  Even better, now the product is out there, we're really starting to see the impact it can make, which is truely exciting.  However we constantly strive to improve the product, and extend it in areas where we hope we can provide real customer value.

My main focuses are similar to Gregg's:  Enabling teams to more easily manage and track the progress of their projects.  I'm also interested in making improvements to our eventing sub-system (subscriptions, notifications, alerts etc), so folks on the project can always stay up to date on the important events that are going on.

If you have any feedback on what you'd like to see improved, or something new in either Project Management or in the eventing sub-system, please let us know,  We'll be very interested to hear what you think.

    With TFS now extending from just development to encompass the entire lifecycle from requirements through to test, you should probably consider it's competitive position against other tools, e.g. requirements management. For example, you might want to submit it to the INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering) Requirements Management Tools Survey (http://www.paper-review.com/tools/rms/read.php) so we can see how it compares against other requirements management tools.
