What is the event all about, and who is your audience?

The Microsoft Switzerland TechDays 12 is a technical readiness conference.

The IT Pro Day is aimed at IT Professionals, Infrastructure Architects and Consultants interested in learning about Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Windows Server and Windows Client, Virtualization, SQL Server, Office System, Systems Management and related technologies.

The Developer Day targets Developers, Software Architects, Consultants and Students interested in learning about Windows 8, Windows Phone, Web Technologies, Developer Tools and Application Lifecycle Management

   

What is the language of the conference?

Lausanne: French (Primary) and English

Basel: German (Primary) and English

   

How do I submit a Session suggestion?

Session suggestions must be submitted via the Swiss DPE conference management web site https://confdms.cloudapp.net/

Speakers from previous TechDays will receive a separate e-mail with login and password details. If you don’t have a login, request it on https://cfpconfdms.cloudapp.net/

   

Session Relevance

The audience will be Technical: IT Professionals, Developers, Architects and Consultants

This is not a marketing event, so content must be Technical.

Please keep your titles and abstracts interesting. The title has to match the session content 100%. Only a few people read abstracts.

The Session Title and Abstract must be in the Language that you will present in.

Session Levels

Level 100:

Introductory and overview material. Assumes little or no expertise with topic and covers topic concepts, functions, features, and benefits.

Level 200:

Intermediate material. Assumes 100-level knowledge and provides specific details about the topic.

Level 300:

Advanced material. Assumes 200-level knowledge and in-depth understanding of features in a real-world environment. Provides a detailed technical overview of a subset of product/technology features, covering architecture, performance, migration, deployment, and development.

Can I submit more than 1 session?

Yes. The general Swiss TechDays policy is to approve a maximum of 2 sessions per speaker per event. You can submit sessions for all 4 days/events.

 

How long are the sessions?

60 minutes per session

 

Can the speaker and/or title be changed once the session is accepted?

If either the speaker or the session changes, this slot has to be reconsidered. If you feel that your session/speaker needs to be changed, please contact one of the contacts listed below.

 

When does the call for content close and when will you tell me if my suggestion was approved?

Call for content will close on 7 September 2012 at 16:00 (CET) . You can monitor that status of your submission on https://confdms.cloudapp.net/ 

The final agenda will be published in October 2012.
