Nokia Live Press Conference about Nokia Lumia 920 / Lumia 820
Hi all,
Yesterday I was watching the live press conference of Nokia (started at 4 p.m. our time) via live stream and like to share some impressions with you.
The new Nokia Lumia looks pretty nice. Especially the Hardware seems to come with a lot of improvements but there are also some really cool software features that make it worth to think about this phone when buying a new smart phone. Let me give you a short overview of some new features:
Hardware
- PureView Camera: Is able to capture much more light what makes pictures in a dark environment much clearer.
- Built-in wireless chargin: Gives you a lot more freedom with your phone.
- 2000mAh battery: The new battery gives you enough power to do all the things you like to do whenever you want.
- New Colors: With the new Lumias you will also have the choice of new colors.
Software:
- Offline Maps: More flexibility when you don't have an internet connection.
- Nokia City Lense: Augmented Reality for everyday use, that overlays your maps with Information about restaurants, shops, etc.
- Nokia Drive: Powers you with the Nokia experience of navigation.
- Windows 8: The new Nokia smartphones come with Windows 8, what brings you also a lot of new features.
These are just the most important things to mention. If you are really interested, I propose you to watch the video of the press conference (link below) or visit the Nokia website.
At the end of the presentations there was a little surprise. Steve Balmer comes to stage. He talks about the good partnership with Nokia, the great chances for Windows 8 and the devices that come with it. This was a nice end for a good presentation.
