Hi there In which release is Windows 7 compatibility planned for SQL Server Data Tools? I think this is a big wish, whereas many companies use Windows 7 as default OS. Thank you for your answer.

We also cannot use the B.I. tools with Visual Studio 2015 because our company standard is Windows 7.  Please consider compatibility with this O.S. Thanks.  :~]

The current build only includes SSIS projects. When do you expect to have a release supporting full BI functionality for Visual Studio 2015?

Model.xml file that is generated in SQL Server Data Tools projects is HUGE.  In one project, we have a 400+ MB model.xml file, and another is generating a 900+ MB file. The majority of it is from the XML tag <Annotation Type="SqlInlineConstraintAnnotation" /> repeated millions of times. This seems like a big bug.  It is doing it in the non-preview version as well.

Same namecheck issue as others. Load failed for SSIS projects in solution, and SSAS/SSRS are incompatible.

Not knowing when you can have SSRS support or like others are asking for other support to be released is one. But getting no feedback is very bad.

This is a known issue when CTP 2.4 and SSDT 2.4 are installed SXS on the same machine.  It is fixed in CTP3.  CTP3 works SXS on the same machine with both SSDT 2.4 and SSDT 3.0.

I installed both Visual Studio 2015 and SSDT 2015.  But there is no template for Business Intelligence. I want to open Integration Services packages.

@Janine - It's great that it's been fixed but where do we get it from?  I'm not able to work on my projects currently.

Edit: To clarify, I removed the entire SQL Server Express 2016 with Advanced Services package, not just Management Studio, as my former post indicates. Everything else I wrote is accurate.

Edit: SSDT July 2015 RTM == version 14.0.507-somethin. removed. SSDT September 2015 == version 14.0.50927.0. works.
