Presentation Material for Webcast on Performance Dashboard

On 4th May 2011 (Day 3), Amit Banerjee presented webcast on “Understanding Performance Bottlenecks using Performance Dashboard”. In this session Amit demonstrated how to troubleshoot a SQL Server performance issue using out-of-the-box features without having to collect diagnostic data for post-mortem analysis.

This session was attended by more than 500 participants via webcast and we heard very positive feedback.

Many participants asked the presentation material and we have posted it here. For video recording, we need to wait for marketing team. Once its made available to us, we would share with the world.

    How did the "Blocking Report" come up in the Dashboard. I download it from www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx.

    The blocking report can be obtained by clicking on the any of the wait-type bars shown in the "Current Waiting Requests" graph on the Performance Dashboard Main report.
