What are the percentage estimates of people using the CUs? Just curious.Anonymous

@Mbourgon, To my understanding, people may use the CUs in thier test environment but not in thier production environment. We wait until they come up with fully supported (and tested) the service pack. Currently waiting for SP1 for SQL Server 2008 R2 from them. Hope MS is going to release this soon.Anonymous

I left a comment here previously but it seems to have been removed. Can you please confirm whether the final release of SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1 will include the security update from KB 2494086 / KB 2494088?Anonymous

Lots of organizations use SQL Server CUs in Production, it is quite common. While Service Packs are fully regression tested by Microsoft, they are released too infrequently for many organzations.
