Hi Abhishek, do we have any news on when the SQL 2008 R2 SP1 will be released? Will it contain this updates? Thanks, Gabriel

I can tell that you have the MS11-049 fix by looking at the objects build list but the fix list doesn't include it. I am sure that the fix list will be updated shortly. Chris

Will applying this fix the problem that arose with the automatic Windows Update of KB2494088? Should I uninstall the borked update first then try the cumulative update #8?

I have a question about the difference between  Cumulative Update 8 and SP1 CTP.  Are all updates in SP1 CTP in Cume 8?   Will all of Cume 8 be in the final version of SP1? If we apply Cume 8, would you recommend we also apply SP1 CTP?  Should SP1 CTP be installed 1st or Cume 8 or only Cume 8, etc.? Any advice or info would be appreciated by my clients.
