Cumulative Update #6 for SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM

Keep your system up to date with the most recent cumulative update package for SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM. This package contains all of the SQL Server 2008 R2 hotfixes that have been released since the initial release of SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM.

    Your hotfix password for the main update is incorrect. You might want to review your package.

    Can someone point me to a resource that helps me understand the naming convention used for the update files? PPExcel vs. SapBI vs. SNAC vs. MDS vs. RSShrPnt, what is what? Thanks.

    I 2nd the complaint of the 3 previous comments.   I also cannot extract the hotfix although I have copied/pasted the password I received.   And I was also confused by the many choices of downloads as previously stated by JAHernandez.

    Just downloaded the CU1 Update for SQL 2008 R2 and the current password and the password for the next (7) days doesn't work. Please help.
