Hi, None of the hotfixes for 2008 r2 are availabel. You get taken to a page which reads: The system is currently unavailable. Please try back later, or contact support if you want immediate assistance.support.microsoft.com/contactus This has been the case since October 2010 - before cu #5 was released. do you know what is happening? @Seth: I have been downloading updates for SQL 2008 R2 since released and the web sites seem to work fine. I normally use this page: support.microsoft.com/.../981356 which lists all of the RTM cumulative updates for R2. Gary.Anonymous

Do the SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM cumulative updates also affect SQL Server Express 2008 R2? In other words, should the SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM cumulative updates be applied to SQL Server Express 2008 R2 installations? Just want to make sure. MikeAnonymous

Would you please give us a time frame for when you expect to issue a Service Pack for 2008 R2. ThanksAnonymous

What's happened to the x86 and x64 versions of the database engine updates? There is a SQLServer2008R2_RTM_CU5_2438347_10_50_1753_IA64 but not the x86 and x64 equivalents. I have been told that there was an x86 version a couple of days ago, but it has disappeared. I know people that have said that they have downloaded and installed these patches that have since gone "AWOL". If there is a bug and these two updates have been" pulled" you should publish something on your blog about that!Anonymous

Agreed. Still no x86 or x64 version of the CU for RTM. Are these going to be reposted to support.microsoft.com (or fixed and then posted if needed)?Anonymous

The CU for x86 abd x64 are available again. Just downloaded the x64 version and successfully updated a SQL2008 R2 RTM version.
