Good info. However, I can't seem to find a description about the different packages? There is a SNAC version and a RS_Sharepo version in addition to the main update? I suspect that the RS_Sharepo version is related to using Reporting Services in SharePoint integrated mode, but what is SNAC?Anonymous

SNAC stands for SQL Native Client. I 've tried to post this here two times before, but this site eats my submits - hope, this posting will be displayed.Anonymous

Hi Abhishek, I have tried to apply CU2 (970315) and CU3 (971491) on SQL Server 2008 SP1, but every time I got this error: “There are no SQL Server Instances or shared features that can be updated on this computer” I have both the default instance and named instance, but both are not detected by the CU installer. Could you please help me ASAP. Thanks in adv. for your time. Shoaib from CanadaAnonymous

Hi Abhishek, I'm facing the same problem as Shoaib while installing CU2. The output for 'SELECT @@version’ is: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (SP1) - 10.0.2531.0 (X64) Mar 29 2009 10:11:52 Copyright (c) 1988-2008 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7600: ) Can you tell me whats going wrong? Thanks & Regards,
