MISYS: Summit FT moved to SQL Server 2008 to reduce costs and improve efficiencies
Misys has announced that Summit FT has migrated its product to SQL Server 2008 (32 bits) and planning to add support for SQL Server 2008 (64 bits) soon. Misys states that it is responding to market needs to reduce the total cost of ownership and improve efficiencies. Summit V5.5 is a result of major investment by Misys in a number of new technology features growing the systems' cross-asset and front-to-back coverage. Using SQL Server 2008 has improved performance of the Summit FT product.
