Will you be attending the Kronosworks conference in Las Vegas in two weeks? I will be presenting at two sessions at the conference along with some customer and Kronos speakers. The first session will be on Tuesday November 9th at 10 AM PT. In this session I will be co-presenting with Mark DCruz who works at Kronos Corporate Technology Services. Mark is a Kronos veteran (10+ years) and has worked with the largest Kronos customers in several verticals including retail. In this session Mark and I will talk about some of best practices and key learning from some of the largest Kronos customers on SQL Server and Windows. We will have plenty of time for questions and I will bring along some copies of the SQL Server 2008 Internals and Troubleshooting books (Brent Ozar) for folks that support Kronos on SQL Server today or are migrating to the Microsoft platform from IBM or Oracle.
Mark and I will talk about the recent benchmarks/customer work we have done where we have scaled to run Work Force Central 6.1 with a 300,000 employee organization on SQL Server 2008. We look forward to meeting you!
The second session I will be presenting at is equally cool. It will focus on how Kronos uses Microsoft Reporting and Analytics capabilities to meet the needs of health care customers. We will also have Senior IT leader from Banner Health talk about how they use Kronos with Microsoft SharePoint and SQL Server 2008 to enable end users and hospital management to make better decisions related to their greatest asset – people. This session will be in the afternoon on November 9th from 1:45 to 2:45. For those customers who want to see rapid ROI on their Kronos investment and see how Banner benefitted from adopting a SharePoint/SQL BI based strategy – this is a session not to miss!
We look forward to meeting customers and making new connections! If you are a Kronos customer today and have tips to share with others in the community we would be very interested in hearing from you!
