Screencast - How to set up Enterprise Portal (EP) in a Network Load Balancing (NLB) MOSS 2007 cluster

Anunay Kumar from the Enterprise Portal test team created a step-by-step guide on setting up SharePoint in NLB https://blogs.msdn.com/epblog/attachment/9727309.ashx and the screencast on setting up EP on such NLB web farm https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/ax/ee384254.aspx. This screencast and more videos are available at "How do I" Videos - Dynamics AX section.

Thanks Anunay and we are excited to see that EP team members continue to add more content, videos and samples about Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 EP.

Next we are targeting to create a similar Screencast about Perimeter setup / External facing Web site setup.

Great article and video. We look forward to the video for setting up a Perimeter Network with an External facing web site. We have followed through the documentation for this in the EP admin guide, but still its not relatively pain-free to follow. So we look fwd to the hints and tips.

Hi I am installing AX 2009 EP in a NLB cluster. (Web server 1 and web server2). this is a distributed environment. the EP site is having a host header name. I have installed WSS 3.0 SP1 and created an app pool with host header. I have run AX 2009 EP install wizard (with configure for sharepoint services and create website unselected in web server 2 && configure for sharepoint services selected, create web site unselected in web server 1). The installation wizard showed Installed in both servers. When i try to create a EP site from Create site collection option in Sharepoint Central admin, error message is displayed as A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.110.226.137:80 where 10.110.226.137 is the Virtual IP and port 80. Also, in the event viewer, i am also seeing error message like Unable to create odc files. Verify the server name in BIAnalysisServer table in AOT. The database server is a named instance in the format of computernameinstancename. if i open the BIAnalysisServer in the AOT, the server name is defaulted to localhost, I tried to change the db server name to computernameinstancename, ity also didnt work. i got the same error as shown above. Do i need to configure something?
