SBS 2008 & EBS 2008 case studies now available
We're starting to see some Corporate driven case-studies flow down now from those customers & partners who were part of the original Technology Adoption Program (TAP).
Whilst I personally think these are a bit light on specific, measurable business results (as well as being US focused) they do highlight the new opportunities that both SBS & EBS will offer partners. I also take Vijay's point around "less marketing, more meat" & promise that you will begin to see a LOT more content - including pricing, an invitation to the beta & the Australian readiness plan - in the coming weeks.
With this mind, we will soon be calling for Australian partners to submit case-study proposals, the best of which will potentially be show-cased at TechEd & the Australian Partner Conference as part of the official SBS launch.
I acknowledge that we haven't provided enough information to date - but this will change. :-)
Cheers,
Robbie
Epicurean Cutting Surfaces, which produces cutting boards and other kitchenware products from renewable and recycled materials, aims to reduce material and process waste. That’s why the company upgraded to the beta version of Windows® Small Business Server 2008—to take advantage of improvements in security and reliability, remote access, and software management. The company has reduced costs, increased productivity, improved customer service, and gained a competitive edge.
Tom Brooks, Owner of Carson Valley Golf Course in Gardnerville, Nevada, competes against a glut of other golf courses in his resort area. He has to keep costs low and service high. By deploying the beta version of Windows® Small Business Server 2008, Brooks has been able to automate paper-bound processes, improve customer service, reduce time spent on technology issues, work remotely, and increase revenues by operating more efficiently.
To remain competitive, Collegiate Housing Services of Indianapolis, Indiana, has to keep rolling out innovative Web-based services for customers. But the IT staff was overwhelmed by maintenance work. The company deployed the beta version of Windows® Essential Business Server 2008 and dramatically reduced routine IT work. Mobile workers can remotely access company files far more easily, and system reliability and business uptime is greater.
WASSER Studios is dependent on technology to deliver quality, on-time publication services to clients all over the world. The Seattle, Washington, firm deployed the beta version of Windows® Essential Business Server 2008 to make its two IT staff members more productive. The duo has reduced its IT management work by 50 percent, leaving more time for billable services. The company has also improved the reliability and remote accessibility of business systems.
