Carry that weight: what to cut & include in a new product release
Off-topic, but a great business strategy article about the iPhone as the "minimum viable product archetype".
"One of the more central concepts in product marketing is the minimum viable product. Especially when entering a new market, the question of what functionality to include in a product and what to leave out is critical to a timely and successful product launch."
Some great thoughts & insights around "just because you can include it, doesn't mean you should." Lessons also for Microsoft as we work to bring a new version of SBS to market (ie, we're leaving out SCE 2007) & maybe for your own business as you think about which bits to include in that proposal.
Thoughts?

NB: I've admired Apple of years (my first PC was a Mac LC 630) & that doesn't change just because I'm now working for Microsoft. What does change though is my frame of reference, or the lens that I use to look at different companies & opportunities & so although this is an iPhone focused post, I include it as it's an interesting read on strategy.
