Ph.D. Qualifier Exams...

Today I had the first of three parts to my Ph.D. Quals. Let me put it to you this way, they stink. Today was "theory"... so all that stuff that I had a while ago in class had to come back to me. Friday is "software" covering operating systems, programming languages, compilers, etc. And Monday is "hardware" covering graphics, networking, computer organization, etc. All in all, I'll be rejoicing when all 9 hours of this is over. 3 down, 6 to go.

    Soon-to-be Doctor Robert: I wish you all the best in obtaining your PhD. It had always eluded me but I eventually settled for 3 Masters. C'est la vie. 8-)
