Infoworld agrees we're easiest
A new review just published in Infoworld compares Response Point to several other IP-PBX vendors and confirms we are far-and-away the easiest phone system.
Criteria | RP Score |
Telephony | 7 |
Management | 9 |
Ease-of-use | 10 |
Scalability | 7 |
Setup | 9 |
Value | 8 |
That comparison on ease-of-use is especially significant relative to our competitors, none of whom scored higher than 8/10.
Our first version didn't focus much on fancy features -- many of which look nice in a review but aren't used by real businesses -- so we think our score on "telephony" is actually pretty good. If you can't figure out how to use the feature, what good is it? Same with scalability: we focused on making our system usable by small businesses, not big ones. If your business is fewer than 50 employees, you're a Response Point business. More than that, you probably can afford a full-time IT guy to help figure out all those complicated additional options necessary for a bigger business.
Incidentally, the reviewer's trouble with on a 64-bit machine has been solved in SP1, which unfortunately we weren't able to lend him in time for his review. SP1 will be a free upgrade available this summer and it will add a number of other features (easy VOIP, call logging, click-to-call) that many of you blog readers have told us were important. We plan to continue on a fast path of steady regular improvements. But we won't do anything to make it harder than it is today. We always want to have that distinguished 10/10 for ease of use.
