Loquendo TTS engines

I was meeting with a customer last week talking about all the great new enhancements to Windows Vista, including the new built in Windows Speech Recognition, and unexpectedly I found out another very nice TTS engine made by Loquendo.

It's definitely one of the best I've ever heard.  You can also play around with it and listen to how it sounds when you get to pick what it says here.

    Hello Rob:

As an individual who is legally blind, I listened to TTS voices every day and all day long.  The Loquendo voices are exceptional.  Unfortunately, they are not integrated into the different adaptive software that I use at this time.  I believe Loquendo aims itself mostly at the European market.  Most individuals creating adaptive software have just caught on to the Neospeech voices, which are pretty good.  The TTS field is very exciting.  And I'm always trying out new voices.  A wide selection the voices are available from nextup.com
