Some people have been wondering how to properly dictate numbers in Windows Vista. Here's a quick set of examples of what you can say, and what Vista SR does:
By default:
“one” à “one”
“two” à “two”
“nine” à “nine”
“ten” à “10”
“eleven” à “11”
“fifteen” à “15”
“one hundred and seventy five” à “175”
“one two three” à “123”
“seventeen eighteen” à “1718”
Using “literal”:
“literal one” à “one”
“literal two” à “two”
“literal nine” à “nine”
“literal ten” à “ten”
“literal eleven” à “eleven”
“literal fifteen” à “fifteen”
“literal one hundred and seventy five” à “one hundred and seventy five”
“literal one two three” à “one two three”
“literal seventeen eighteen” à “seventeen eighteen”
Using “numeral”:
“numeral one” à “1”
“numeral two” à “2”
"numeral nine” à “9”
“numeral ten” à “10”
“numeral eleven” à “11”
“numeral fifteen” à “15”
“numeral one hundred and seventy five” à “175”

Hi Rob,
That's great thanks. Is there a way to use this functionality in WinFX?
