Insufficient available memory to meet the expected demands of an operation at this time, possibly due to virtual address space fragmentation.

Are you getting the above error while performing a cut or copy operation in your Visual Studio 2010. If “yes” , a patch has been released by the Visual Studio team which can help you fix the issue and is available here.

If you are interested to read more about the issue, you can refer to the Visual Studio Team blog here.

Thanks for this information. I've experienced this several times, and decided today to look for a solution. I figured it was due to a plugin, but your blog entry came right up. I wonder why this hasn't made it out through the Windows live updates.

@Curious, this is because the patch isn't working neither... When the patch has been applied and this memory leak happens, VS starts being busy for minutes, and the result is no data in clipboard nor error message... I experience this problem since VS2005, with no real fix from Microsoft. Is it so hard setting data into clipboard?!?
