Why WiX: Centralized Setup Cycle: Lather, Rinse, Reward, Repeat
Yesterday, I introduced the crash and burn problem but there's still more to this problem.

After a few cycles where Centralized Setup defers problems to transients then crashes and burns-out the core team the cycle hardens and becomes self-reinforcing and sustaining. Most reward systems I've seen around setup are built to reward "heroes" whether they were the managers that managed to ship (yeah! party time!) in spite of the fires or the individuals that mastered the quick and dirty fix so the numbers show them on top. The Rewards are the insipid part of the equation, because this cycle does not sustain itself with out the Rewards.
This is a problem begging for a disruptive technologist with a disruptive technology...
