I've whined about FSX since first posting here a month or so ago, and have no regrets for doing so. That said, I gotta say it looks absolutely gorgeous running through my e6750 system oced to 3.6GHz with a raptor, a 8800gt, and our new 47" LG LB5D HDTV. It's a beautiful sim, and for that I'm grateful. Best holiday wishes for all here. martyAnonymous

hey phil if you can when you get back and have time can you answer my question about getting the meatball, catapult, and default night time lighting to work in multiplayer....im sure there is a way to do it...please note it is perfectly fine if the carrier is static instead of moving...either way...also now can objects be picked up in multiplayer like cratges with the eh-101?....im thinkin thats the direction sp2 went towards was multiplayer missions but we want to build much more than just racing....please answer as this is important to all of us and the more simgameit.com gets people into sessions the more $$$$ you make...were not in it for the money were in it for the fun but it in return makes microsoft money :-)Anonymous

Happy New Year and Happy Holidays to everyone! When the holidays end, please start making the Flight Simulator XI engine, this time featuring realistic water, waves and this time, underwater viewable areas (!), houses and buildings that are in the real world (including mine!), better scenery and detail on small and forgotten areas, realistic crashes and splashes, this time the settings letting us to choose what AA or AF level to choose, what DirectX version to use, including DirectX 10.1 usage, and also usage up to Shader Model 4.1 (because now I see usage up to Shader Model 2.0, which is an ancient Shader Model version), also people in the world, accidents on roadways, plane crashes... a lot needs to be improved! Do I ask a lot?Anonymous

Oh, and next time 64-bit color textures that have size up to 4096x4096 or 8192x8192 and a UI with the Aero Interface.Anonymous

Happy Holidays Phil A query, I checked with a fairly well known third Party Aircraft devloper about when will that bring out some updates for their titles so the liveries show with Direct X 10 preview. I quote the response below without saying who it is, as I don't have their permission to say who. "Microsoft has informed us that they are working on a patch to fix the texture problem due to the Acceleration Pack / FSX SP2 installation. More information will soon follow on our site." Is there any truth in what they say or are they stringing people like me along!Anonymous

SimGameIt.com: I'll see if it is possible to create a multiplayer mission with a carrier. Can I use the email you gave me earlier to talk about this (simgameit@yahoo.com)? Happy Holidays (again) -OrionAnonymous
December 27, 2007
yes orion that would be great. this would be a big big hit....there is alot of interesting stuff we would like to do and if i heard correct sp2 was going to enable us to create great multiplayer missions.Anonymous

Philby: it is absolutely false that we are working on anything. and tell that developer I said so.Anonymous

ive been following phils posts here and in fsinsider although i havent paid really any attention to avsim forums.....and ive heard it over and over we have what we are going to get yet i keep hearing in fsx chatter that there will be more....i think i recall him saying they are working on the train sim now and i guess we are done until the next fs....hope my info is correct on all that.Anonymous

Well I don't know how many people use or by a Train Sim, but one would Have to think maybe 10% compared to us Simmers. Aces time would be better spent fiing some of these DX10 issues, but I guess that is not going to happen. Especially while they keep saying that they are caused by Video Card drivers. Anyone else not happy with this scenerio Who needs a train sim? About as many who need a Bus Simulator which I came across by accident the other day, not a MS one. Happy Holidays PJAnonymous
