Extra-Sensory Perception?

My colleague Michel Baladi has just declared himself not an architect, and I must admit I have the urge to follow him. Although I can't claim Michel's impressive record of more than 20 years in the software business (can this really be true? He doesn't look that old...), I want to be an ESP as well, although I'd like to propose a change to the meaning of the TLA: Experienced Software Professional - after all, we do this for a living :)

In any case, I'll soon be out of business cards and need to order some new ones - I wonder if I can change my title to ESP? Currently, my title is Senior Consultant, which doesn't really communicate anything meaningful. ESP is just as meaningful, but much more precise :)

Well I'm not that old, but I started early. My first paid job in IT, at age 18, was teaching people twice my age programming an ABC80 (http://www.hogia.se/pcmuseum/datorernasvarld/abc.htm). Without revealing my age, that is a bit more than 20 years ago. I also programmed FORTRAN on a Norsk-Data 100 before that, but that was a a "person", nor as a "professional".

Acutally, I like your improved implementation of the ESP TLA ("Experienced Software Professional") better.
