NYC Code Camp 5 February 19th, 2011 – CALL FOR SPEAKERS Now Open!

It’s that time of year again!  Mark your calendars, as Code Camp is coming back to NYC for its 5th edition on Saturday, February 19th, 2011.  Via the NYC Code Camp website

What’s a code camp?

Code Camps are "grass roots" mini application platform developer conferences, free of charge to attendees and open to presenters of all stripes and experience.

NYC Code Camp 5 will be held at Microsoft's offices in Midtown Manhattan (1290 Avenue of the Americas between 51st/52nd Streets) on Saturday, February 19th, 2011, from 8am - 6pm. This is an all-day event with refreshments served, including a developer's "power lunch" (pizza and soda).

This event is being supported by Microsoft but driven by the community: user group activists*, developer "influentials", and enthusiastic volunteers.

* Note: What’s a “user group activist”?!  Beats the heck out of me!

CALL FOR SPEAKERS!!!

Registration for the code camp is NOT open yet. It will open in the coming days as the event gets closer.  However, the CALL FOR SPEAKERS is open now through January 28th, and we’d love for you to submit your sessions, whether you’re looking to speak for the first time, or you’re an old pro.  Remember – this is an event by the community, for the community!

To apply for a speaking slot, first please register as a speaker here: https://bit.ly/ccnycspeaker

Then with the email address you registered with on our speaker page, please add as many abstracts as you’d like here: https://bit.ly/ccnycsession

Submit on anything you like in the development space. There is no central “theme” to our Code Camp except to focus on topics related to development.

Speakers – although we can’t afford to pay any T & E, we’ll have plenty of pizza and soda, and other fun stuff just for you!
