Checking in

It's been a little while since I wrote anything on this here blog... The farm my wife and I purchased has occupied ALL of my free time in that I go there on weekends, and when home, I'm taking care of parenting duties. I used to have a little time to do stuff, but not lately. It's worse for my wife though who is neck deep in work and stress running this farm away from her family, and working part-time at her regular job. There is light at the end of the tunnel though as we slowly unwind the farm from our waste and necks and try to get back to some sense of a normal routine.

Considering my lack of spare time and feeling like I'm getting farther and farther behind at work, I've been working extra hard at night after my child goes to sleep. It's the only way I can get caught up, but it does take a bit of a toll on me. We aren't announcing what I've been working on for another month or so, so of course I can't tell you anything about it, but the payoff for the work is tangible and exciting.

It seems like SP1 is coming along well. As I've said before I'm not on the team working on it, but I've heard there have been some very good gains. Hopefully it will be in beta test soon and we can find out if it's the bee's knees or not. Many of the code and content fixes have been migrated onto my project and overall it seems to run much better on my systems. But so much changes daily it's hard to tell what fixes are having the most impact.

Well, back to the salt mine :)

Hi, Just a little question... If you are not working on FSX, what is your next project (except your farm and the P-12C)?

I knew your not working on SP1 ;) I guess it's your super secret project, the one you visited the RAF airforce base for. Getting more and more interesting. First you visit an Airbase, then you ask for our opinion what era a new CFS should be........
