First InterOpConf Brings Open Source Communities and Microsoft Together in Central Europe

Earlier this month, I participated in the first InterOpConf event, which highlighted solutions resulting from work between open source communities and Microsoft, showing how even competing technologies can work together to deliver value for enterprise customers.

65 members from open source communities within Poland and across Europe joined us for two days of technical workshops, presentations, and discussions of open Microsoft projects, including the openness of our Windows Azure cloud platform and resources for open source developers. My two sessions covered Linux and open source scenarios for Windows Azure and the value of the .NET ecosystem for open source developers.
