Connecting Communities forum

Microsoft New Zealand will be hosting a Connecting Communities forum targeting the nonprofit and charity sector with the focus on technology.

The free forum is being held at Microsoft offices in Auckland on November 9th 2010.

Technology plays an important role for nonprofits, charities and community organisations across Australia. This forum will bring together business and NGO leaders to discuss topics such as customer relationship management (CRM), Cloud Computing, Social Media strategy, and ICT (Information and communication technologies) Proficiency.

There will also be demos and useful tips for using a range of Microsoft products such as: Live services, Windows 7, and Office 2010.

Microsoft Community Affairs administers all of Microsoft's community investment programs. Founded in 1983, Microsoft Community Affairs was one of the first corporate community investment programs in the high-tech industry. Today, Microsoft is the largest contributor in the industry.

Last year, Microsoft New Zealand donated more than $4 million worth of software to 460 charities and nonprofits.
