Windows Vista RC1 is available for download

"Release Candidate 1" of Windows Vista RTMed in the early hours of last Saturday morning NZ time and is now available to TechNet and MSDN subscribers, as well as those people who signed up for the Windows Vista Customer Preview Program (CPP) with the release of Beta 2 in June.

TechBeta and TAP customer have been able to download the ISOs since then, and in the mean time we've been readying our download servers for the load to open it up more broadly.

If you are not registered but would like to receive Windows Vista RC1, the CPP will open to new participants in the coming weeks. Please check this site periodically for updates.

Windows Vista RC1 is time-limited, pre-release software that will expire on June 1, 2007, but RC1 is upgradeable to the final RTM code when it is available.

Get testing now!  Download it, install it, test it, and file bugs.  We have a feedback window of two to three weeks after RC1 release where we can really make changes to the product in terms of getting deeper into the product's code base.
