Refactor! for Visual Basic 2005 Beta 2
In October last year Steven Lees (Visual Basic Project Manager) made the "unpopular" announcement that besides the "rename" artefact refactoring wouldn't be supported for Visual Basic in the Visual Studio 2005 IDE.
Last week our friends at Developer Express released Refactor! for Visual Basic 2005 Beta 2 a plug-in for Visual Studio .NET 2005 beta 2 that enables developers to simplify and shape source code, making their code easier to read and less costly to maintain... read more.
IMO from what I've been reading from the visual basic product team we can expect more refactoring for Visual Basic in the Visual Studio IDE in the Orcas timeframe.

Nigel,
It great vb.net developers will get refactoring, its a shame its an add-in, but at least it shows Microsoft are listening, lets hope they listen more pro-actively in Orcas and consider the professional VB.net developer as well as the hobbiest.
Thanks for the link
