Cumulative update version information for Lync client and Lync server

Hi there,

 

You can find a list of CU versions compiled from KB articles for cumulative update packages released for Lync client and Lync servers. Please note that the list only includes version information for Lync 2010 (desktop edition), Lync Server 2010, Lync 2013 (desktop edition) and Lync Server 2013 and it excludes interim updates, security updates, updates for non-desktop clients like WP8, iOS devices, Android, Lync phone edition)

    Hi Murat, isn't every Lync patch/hotfix a cumulative one? I havn't seen a non-cumulative patch since years. ;-) BR Andreas

    Thank you Teric. I have made a couple of changes in the Lync 2013 client table. It looks like September cumulative update was overridden with November update (the same KB article number was used for November update which simply overrides the previous september article which had the version number of 15.0.4551.1002). I also added latest December 2013 security update as the last CU (for Lync 2013 client track, security updates are also used for adding hotfixes and introducing new features as in Lync 2013 CU2) Thanks, Murat

    Hi, nice work mate. There's another version that is not being considered in the CUs of the Lync 2010 server. Version 4.0.7577.197 fixed several issues that occured on the CU5. Kind regards, Alejandro.

    Hi Murat, are you sure with the Lync 2010 Client CUs? I would say 4.0.7577.4409 is CU10 and the two previous patches are just Security Hotfixes and not really CUs? Maybe I am wrong?! Cheers / Andreas

Actually when I check the previous two articles I see that they're "cumulative updates" not security updates (even the title of those articles suggests that): CU10 support.microsoft.com/.../2815347 Description of the cumulative update package for Lync 2010: April 2013 (Version: 4.0.7577.4384) CU11 support.microsoft.com/.../2842627 Description of the cumulative update package for Lync 2010: July 2013 (Version: 4.0.7577.4398) Also if you check the contents of those two articles, you'll see that they fix regular Lync client issues and not security issues. And they're conclusive (which means all previous cumulative updates are also included within that update) Hope this helps Thanks, Murat
