Resubmitting my app to the Windows Store
So I received the sad news that my app did not pass the Windows Store certification check. But, they did provide me with the Certification report (pictured below) which told me what I need to do before resubmitting.
The report told me that I should check my app using Windows App Certification Kit. I've never used the kit before, so this link provided me with clear instructions on the install as well as what to do with it: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh694081.aspx
Once I had it installed, I selected my app from the populated list, and ran the kit. It was pretty fast, only took about 10 minutes to identify the specific issue.
For my app, there were 2 main problems:
1) I had put the package together in Debug instead of Release. I fixed this by just changing the setting then creating the package again.
2) Second issue was that I had not changed some of the logos from the defaults. So I went in and re-sized my logo to each of the required dimensions.
After both of these fixes, I ran the Windows App Certification kit again and this time it passed! I just resubmitted it to the Store Certification so I will post an update when I have one. :-)
