Network Access Protection Client for Windows XP (Beta 3 Update)
I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of an updated Network Access Protection (NAP) Client for Windows XP to all Longhorn Server Beta customers. You may download it now from MSConnect. Please note this link will only work if you are currently a member of the Longhorn Server Beta program.
The previous release of the NAP Client for XP was on February 12th, 2007. We have addressed a number of customer reported issues and made a highly requested enhancement:
· Updated to support Longhorn Server Beta 3
· Minor bug fixes
· The Windows System Health Agent (WSHA) now supports Windows Update, Microsoft Update and WSUS for patch based health policy. You will notice this in the Network Policy Server (NPS) policy configuration interface on Longhorn Server Beta 3 (Windows System Health Validator)
We plan to release the final version of the NAP Client for XP as close to the final Longhorn Server release as possible.
Please tell us about your experiences with NAP Client for XP. We need your feedback!
Thanks for helping us make 2007 "The Year of NAP"!
