Disaster Recovery in ConfigMgr 2012.
“As Configuration Manager 2012 Is being deployed more readily, and clients are managing their environments with more ease, it is imperative to know what to do when the unthinkable happens and you lose a server.
Many believe that this is a relatively simple process, others have sleepless nights trying to formulate the right process and identify potential risks. Either way, a fair amount of planning and consultation will need to be carried out in order to ensure a smooth, quick recovery that will suit your business needs and Policies.
What Options do we have for backing up and recovering our environments? What are some of the scenarios we can use to recover a Site Server (whether it be a CAS, or a Primary)? How do I actually do a site recovery, and verify that the Sites are communicating after a recovery?
This session with Leon Potgieter, from Microsoft Premier Field Engineering, will explore the detail around the planning, implementation and post implementation tasks related to recovering of a Configuration Manager Site. We will delve into the steps required for Pre/post recovery verification, as well as demo a Site restore.”
