Monitoring Windows Server OS with Lumagate and OMS – Public Preview
Today we're announcing the public preview of Lumagate's Windows Server OS monitoring solution for Operations Management Suite (OMS). With OMS Insight & Analytics, you can monitor workloads across any Windows Server and Linux source by using out-of-the-box solutions and visualizations. Now with the Windows Server OS solution, you can see the health and performance of all your Windows Server workloads in a single dashboard view.
This new solution helps you:
- Easily identify and solve performance issues
- See rich Windows Server metrics in an easy-to-digest visual format
- Troubleshoot Windows Server applications
- Monitor Azure virtual machines, virtual machines in other clouds, or on-premises virtual machines

The solution is great but it can be further improved. For example the DISK UTILIZATIONS views. If you are monitoring your DPM server with OMS you will see all the disk relateed to DPM (C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\DPM\DPM\Volumes) under disk utilitzations. Because the view is set to show top 10 disk some logical disk C: from other servers are not present in the view.The solution can be Edited right? if I change the query whether this will affect on solution to work properly or not?- Anonymous

You can edit the view and change the query you want to exclude some disks. This will not affect the solution. If there is future update of the solution you may have to do the same procedure after you apply the update.

Unfortunately this does not fully work on the new version of OMS. It appears that the ability to extract fields has been temporarily removed from the new version. The only option is to wait for Lumagate to provide a workaround or for Microsoft to add this feature back in. Until then the functionality relating to service accounts stopping does not work - Anonymous
