Content Ideas Follow-up

Thanks to everyone who responded. Based on feedback received, I'm looking into the following content for future webcasts:

  1. Multi-part series that takes Sharepoint Services 2.0 - from Bill Walter
  2. How to build a Sharepoint site - from Bill Walter
  3. Upcoming ASP.NET 2 technologies and current ASP.NET versions we use today - from Ezequiel Espíndola
  4. Webcasts on software configuration management - from Ezequiel Espíndola
  5. New features for Design-Time and how it works with Visual Studio 2005 - From Design-Time

FYI - We're addressing some of these ideas in the October - December timeframe. We're also going to be giving away Xbox's, 64 bit laptops, and free copies of Visual Basic Standard edition for some of the theme week webcasts listed below. I'm not going to bore anyone with the legalize for right now, but you should definitley read the sweepstakes rules to understand eligibility when they get posted. You'll see details on this in the next month or so.

Upcoming MSDN webcast theme weeks

October: Better Web Development – October 18-29, 2004

November: Developing on 64 bit Windows Server (presented by Microsoft Windows 64bit development team)

December: Yukon ( SQL 2005 beta 2 ) Technical Preview

Upcoming MSDN webcast mini-series (12-15 webcasts taught as classroom instruction format with homework modules to drive deeper understanding)

Soup To Nuts - A Practical Guide to Building Windows Forms Applications with .NET - presented by David F. Anthony

Essential ASP.NET - A Webcast Series for the Web Developer - presented by Fritz Onion

Yukon Gold - A Practical Guide to developing on SQL 2005 - presented by “the” Kimberly Tripp ( being delayed until January 2005)

Regards,

Georgeo Pulikkathara, MSDN Webcasts

The Theme Weeks are a great idea because you can get the word out and people know the webcasts will be there. Each topic should have a webpage where we can find more information and links before the Week begins.

Thanks Georgeo for all the work you have put into this important endeavor.
