Microsoft Dynamics Live CRM Marketplace

There already have been a lot of articles written about the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM Marketplace; an on-demand marketplace for partners to showcase their company, applications and solutions. Some of them are comparing it to AppExchange, I certainly will not compare it with that...

I bumped into an eWeek article on David McDonald's blog which can be read here: https://blogs.msdn.com/dmcdonald/archive/2007/07/13/dynamics-live-crm-appexchange.aspx and I was laughing out loud when I was reading how Mike Snyder was quoted. I am almost 100% sure Mike used a different word.....

Mike, if you read this, please tell me you said "import".

Mike Snyder, principal at Sonoma Partners, a Microsoft CRM partner, said that Microsoft's marketplace will be a great place to get exposure—and will enable him to compete better with Salesforce.com for at least the next year.

"Conceptually Microsoft CRM is very customizable, very configurable," said Snyder. "A customer goes out to the marketplace [and finds] pre-built customizations. [As a partner] if you are in real estate and want to put in your customizations you don't have to build from scratch. You click a button and suck [Microsoft's template] into your system."
