I love my Bus Stop!

As some of you know, I am from Enschede, an average town in the east of The Netherlands. So what does this have to do with a bus stop? Well, I was surprised when I saw a poster that really reminded me of home! Many people don't know that we brew the best beer in the world, it is called Grolsch and yes, it is better than Heineken!

Grolsch Brewery (Grolsche Bierbrouwerij) is a Dutch brewery founded in 1615 by Willem Neerfeldt in Groenlo. It is located today in Enschede and is owned by Royal Grolsch N.V. (Koninklijke Grolsch N.V. )

I feel so at home right now. If you want to try Grolsch, you can buy the green "halve liters" or "beugels" at Safeway. If you have other suggestions or have a different opinion, let me know in the comments. If you do leave a suggestion, please suggest something that actually tastes like beer and not as sugar like most beers do over here.

    Michael, point taken. Let's say we both have great beers. But I know you are as amazed as me when you are in the States and drink a beer. It is like drinking water mixed with sugarcubes and you have to pretend it is beer :)

    Hey now, the States does make some of the best beer in the world. You must be drinking Miller or Bud. You need to try something from Bells, Sierra Nevada, Lakefront, Pyramid, Three Floyds, etc. Speaking of sugar water, ever try Heineken or Becks Light? Doesn't even have a sugar taste, just water. ;-)

    If you are coming to the Worldwide Partner Conference in Denver, you will have a chance to taste some great beers.  Tons of variety.

    Sssst... I'm sending some Belgian colleagues to Denver, don’t even start about Germans or Dutchs making the best beer in the world unless you’re asking for serious riots. And for the non-believers: point you search engine to “best beer in the world”. Bunny - guess my nationality and win your weight in beer!

    @Bunny, Belgian? I'm 75 kilo's, please send it over to the Netherlands as soon as you can. Make sure the bottles are labeled Amstel or Amstel 1870, because I happen to like those the most. Many different people + many different flavors = many different beers.

    I come from hengelo( yes the one in overijssel)and i had to do an english project and this picture really helped me, and then i read the text and i thought: well that's pretty funny. dat kom je ook nooit tegen, een enschede-er in amerika :) anyhow, veel plezier nog where ever je ook zit in amerika ;)
