Upcoming Presentations
In the last week of September, I will be giving two presentations at SQL PASS 2004 in Orlando, Florida: one on managing unstructured and semistructured data with SQL Server 2005 and one on Service-oriented architecture (SOA) and SQL Server 2005. The first one will be on the new large datatypes, new features in the Full-text area and obviously the XML support. The second one will be about how to use SQL Server 2005 to build service-oriented applications using service broker, HTTP/SOAP etc.
Also, in November, I will give a presentation at XML 2004 in Washington DC on XQuery in the context of relational database systems. It will provide a conceptual overview (similar to my book chapter in the XQuery from the Expert book), show how we are providing the functionality in SQL Server 2005 and also talk about how the SQL standard is moving towards adding XQuery support.
I hope to see you at one or the other event.
