Download the Windows 7 Beta
Running pre-release software is like driving an Italian car – very cool when things are working, which is not all that often. OK, so I’ve never driving an Italian car, but I was hoping the analogy would make me sound worldly and awesome. Anyway – I dig beta operating systems, and have since Windows 95/NT 4. That works-not-so-often part is definitely missing from Windows 7. I just had my first blue screen over the weekend – trying to run some very old and crummy tv capture card software. Otherwise – this beta is probably as solid as anything I was running before it (Vista and OS X). Only thing I haven’t been able to get working yet is my smartphone synch via USB. Enjoy.
