CEOs see tech as integral to success
I read an article that could not have said it better than if I said it myself. Everyone in the organization can benefit from technology; not just the geeks or techies of the organization. Understanding what technology can do to help you achieve your personal and business goals is what will get everyone involved in it one way or another. As they say, "Any CEO who is good will grasp what technology can do to enable their business strategy, achieve their productivity goals, their cost savings, enable their movement into new markets; they will use it to drive their business forward. Those who don't apply technology to fundamental issues to achieve goals and adjust to transitions will find their competition is.
CEOs don't love technology for the geeky part of it; well some do but most don't. They understand the power of getting closer to their customers, keeping their fingers on the pulse of their culture, looking at new market opportunities, and getting quick feedback to know what is working and being able to adjust when things are not working.
Technology is for all of us, young and old. Once we learn how it can help us in our daily lives to achieve our goals faster and more efficiently we will be able to appreciate it from that point of view. You don't have to know all of the technical details or codes behind how it is working; just know how can work for you and your organization.
